Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Many single-storey rear extensions fall under Permitted Development and don't need full planning permission, though limits apply. We assess this during your free site visit and handle the application if one is needed.
What is a party wall agreement, and do I need one?
If your extension is near or on a boundary with a neighbouring property, a Party Wall Agreement is usually required by law. We advise on this and can coordinate the process for you.
How long does a typical extension take to build?
A single-storey rear extension usually takes eight to twelve weeks from groundworks to completion; double-storey and wrap-around extensions take longer. You'll receive a project-specific schedule in your quote.
Can you help with the extension design, not just the build?
Yes — we work with you on layout and design from the outset, so the extension suits how you actually use the space rather than just adding square footage.
